Pregnancy Test

A urine test will be carried out approximately two weeks after embryo transfer to determine whether pregnancy has occurred. Should the treatment be unsuccessful there will be a follow-up consultation to review your details and discuss future options.

If pregnancy occurs we will arrange for an early ultrasound scan to be done within the Fertility Centre to confirm an ongoing pregnancy. If distance is prohibitive it may be arranged nearer home.

Following treatment the nursing staff are happy to be contacted with any questions or concerns. Couples or individuals are welcome to see the counsellor for support if they wish.
