Assisted Reproduction Unit
The Assisted Reproduction Unit (ARU) is based in Aberdeen Maternity Hospital. The Unit opened in 1989 and now performs in excess of 600 IVF/ICSI cycles a year. Treatments within the ARU are funded by both NHS Health Boards or by yourself. The following treatments are provided:

- Embryo Donation (PI-DO-0023)
- Intra-cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) (PI-AR-0009)
- In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) (PI-AR-0004)
- Semen Storage for males undergoing treatment which may affect their fertility
- Superovulation and Intra-Uterine Insemination (PI-AR-0014)
- Surgical sperm retrieval (0310)
- Surrogacy (PI-DO-0023)
