You can visit your GP to be referred to the Fertility Clinic for fertility investigations, this is an NHS service.
Treatments undertaken at the Fertility Clinic include ovulation induction (clomifene or gonadotrophin) and on occasions intra-uterine insemination. The Fertility Clinic can assess your fertility investigation results and make onward referral for surgery or treatment such as IVF, ICSI or sperm, egg or embryo donation if required.
Aberdeen Fertility Centre
The Aberdeen Fertility Centre can provide comprehensive treatment, on a self-funding or NHS basis, for people with a wide range of fertility problems. Please note that the maximum age for having treatment with donor sperm or IVF with us is 45 years. If you require treatment with donor eggs, the age acceptance criteria at the time of referral is 40 years for NHS funded and 41 years for self-funded patients.
You can be referred to the Aberdeen Fertility Centre by your GP, local fertility clinic or alternatively your health professional that may have undertaken previous treatment or investigations.
